Biography
Jonathan Kayne, born on September 19, 2002, to scientists Emily and Peter Kayne, lived a normal childhood until an accident at age five. His father, experimenting with altered electricity in their garage lab, experienced a disastrous explosion that sent lightning bolts throughout the house, one of which struck Jonathan, leaving him unconscious. At the hospital, his abnormal condition required a special experimental treatment that stabilized his vitals, allowing him to recover fully. Years later, after graduating from Phebridge City High School, Jonathan pursued a Computer Science degree at Phebridge City University. An encounter with an old man caused him to experience time slowing down, prompting him to sneak into his parents' lab to investigate. He discovered that his molecular structure had been altered, granting him superhuman speed. Embracing his new abilities, he began rigorous training, ultimately becoming the hero known as Purple Bolt.
